How are deposits collected from approved applicants?

Ikos does not collect deposits on behalf of owners/property managers, but we are happy to advise you on best methods!

Ikos does not collect security deposits but recommends that property owners/managers make it easy and straightforward for renters to pay deposits promptly. This allows the renter to hold the  unit until a lease is signed. Convenient electronic options for collecting deposits include, but are not limited to: CashApp, PayPal, Venmo, Zelle or ACH direct deposit. Alternatively, meeting at the property to transfer check, money order or cash in person are more traditional options.

Prompt deposit collection can facilitate coming to an agreement quickly and allows the owner/property manager to remove the rental listing from being "active". This will negate any confusion for incoming applicants, though back up applications are still welcome should the approved applicant fall through, and control listing traffic while final arrangements are made.
